NEW YORK—No. 44 ranked Columbia concludes its season this weekend when it hosts Dartmouth on Saturday and Harvard on Sunday at Dick Savitt Tennis Center. Both matches begin at Noon ET.
Columbia (13-4, 2-3 Ivy League) enters the weekend ranked No. 44 in the nation and one of two ranked Ivy League teams. Princeton is the other. Columbia is currently in fifth place in the Ivy League standings. Updated season statistics are located at
this link.
Sunday's match marks Senior Day and the final home match for 2019 senior co-captains
Sarah Hu and
Andrea Kevakian.
Because of a number of technical issues, Columbia will not be able to provide live video streaming of the women's tennis matches this weekend. While we continue to work toward a solution, the location and physical infrastructure of the Dick Savitt Tennis Center provides significant challenges to configure an alternative streaming service for the remainder of the season.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
Dartmouth enters the final weekend of the regular season with a 3-16 overall dual match record and 0-5 Ivy League record. Chuyang Guan (14-9) and Nina Paripovic (9-13) are the team's top two singles winners.
SCOUTING HARVARD
With a 16-6 overall record and 4-1 Ivy League record, Harvard enters the following weekend of regular season play in second place in the Ivy League standings. Harvard has won eight of its last nine matches. Jenna Friedel is on an 11-match win streak at No. 2 singles and 14-1 overall in the spring. Irene Lu has also won six straight singles matches.
