Lions Send Three Boats To Head Of The Charles

Columbia Women's Rowing will send a pair of boats, while the Heavyweights will send one boat to compete at the 56th Head of the Charles.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Columbia Women's Rowing and Heavyweight Rowing are both set to compete at the 56th Head of the Charles, with the women's team sending two boats of Lions and the Heavyweights sending one boat to take part in the world's largest two-day rowing event set to get going Oct. 23-24 on the Charles River.
The festivities get going on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 8 a.m. and the races will be streamed live via YouTube thanks to the Head of the Charles Regatta. Live results are also available and can be found by clicking here.
Columbia's women will be sending a pair of V4+ boats to race in two different events. The first will be the Club Four, set to get started on Saturday at 12:27 p.m., with Esme Dodge, Clara Cheng, Ishara Abbey, Jaia Wingard and Ashley Kim (COX) taking to the water. The other V4+ boat will be in the Championship Four event, with Emily Kilroy, Elisa Luo, Lulu Gebbie, Caitlin Walsh and Tteja Senthilnathan (COX) racing at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24.
On the heavyweight side, Columbia is sending on V2 boat with John Theodore and Clay Watson racing in the Championship Doubles set to get going at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
