2016-17: (XC) Started his season off with a 21st place finish at the Iona Br. Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions, completing the 8K course in 26:32.5 helping the Lions to a fifth place team finish … Finished 39th at the Princeton XC Invitational with an 8K time of 24:57.0. (T&F) Ran the 3,000m Steeplechase three times during the outdoor season, clocking a season best 9:33.55 at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
2015-16: Went 9:07.91 in the 3,000m Steeplechase at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships for sixth place.
2014-15: Clocked a season best in the 8K at the Paul Short Run (10/4) finishing in 24:51 ... Finished the 10K at the NCAA Northeast Regional in 31:37 for 58th.
High School: Rooney arrived to Columbia with personal-best times of 4:21.59 in the one mile run and 9:27.19 in the two mile run.
