 THE FACILITYÂ
The crown jewel of Baker Athletics Complex, the state-of-the-art Campbell Sports Center Weight Room is one of the nation’s nicest and newest of its kind. Already the facility, along with the addition of the Bubble at Baker, has made an enormous impact on offseason strength and conditioning in a variety of sports as for the first time Columbia student-athletes can conduct indoor workouts at any time during the winter months.
Â
Boasting 8,000-square feet of strength and workout space, the Campbell Sports Center Weight Room has everything a student-athlete would want in a weight room. The room is filled with the latest state-of-the-art equipment featuring 5,000 pounds of free weights, 14 UCF half racks with platforms, two full sets of Columbia branded dumbbells (10-150 pounds each), along with a variety of other machines designed to help each individual student-athlete improve.
Â
With overhead views, coaches stationed at Campbell Sports Center can watch their athletes going through a workout.
Â
Located on the Campbell Sports Center’s first floor, the Weight Room serves 11 Columbia intercollegiate sports teams including football, baseball, softball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, field hockey, women’s lacrosse, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, heavyweight rowing, lightweight rowing and women’s rowing.
