Roar-ee the Lion made his Columbia debut in fall 2005 and immediately became a fan favorite! The naming of our courageous lion, Roar-ee, was determined through online voting from fans all over the world. He can be seen at every football and men's and women's basketball games roaring around and tends to pop-up at various locations and events on campus.

But he also has a roaring desire to attend your next event on or off-campus, film and photoshoot!

Roar-ee Booking Details

• All requests must be submitted via the Roar-ee Booking Inquiry Form at least four weeks prior and are subject to availability.
• An athletics representative must accompany Roar-ee to all appearances.
• Payment must be received in advance of the event. Internal Columbia payments to be made via IDI. External payments to be made by check or credit card.
• Client must provide a location for breaks and to store materials as well as water.

Please provide as much information as possible regarding the nature of the appearance in the Roar-ee Booking Inquiry Form. If the appearance is a film or photo shoot, client must inform Athletics in advance as to the film/photo distribution plan and share copies of the film/photos after the shoot. Athletics may deny any requests at its discretion.

Booking Fees

ON CAMPUS: $100 per hour for a minimum of two hours including time to dress/undress and travel to and from event
OFF CAMPUS: $200 per hour for a minimum of two hours including time to dress/undress and travel to and from event. No appearances outside of Manhattan.
Film/Photo Shoots: $200 per hour including time to dress/undress and travel to and from shoot. Client must inform Athletics in advance as to the film/photo distribution plan and share copies of the film/photos after the shoot.

Roar-ee Tryouts
