The Columbia Archery Program has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in recent years, winning multiple National Championships in Recurve and Compound. To maintain this high level of competitiveness, the Lions take advantage of three indoor and outdoor training facilities: Archery Training Center on the fourth floor of the Nash Building, the Columbia Field Hockey Stadium for outdoor training and Bubble at Baker for indoor training during winter months.

Columbia’s Archery Training Center opened in 2016 and was dedicated in an official opening event on September 12, 2017. Located near campus in Columbia’s Nash Building (3280 Broadway Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10027), the facility offers dedicated space and home for Columbia’s Archery program. Boasting 4,000-square feet of space, the room offers a shooting range and complete training center, blue targets, state-of-the-art archery technology, sound system, and natural light. The center offers a student-athletes everything they need to succeed in archery.

During fall and spring months, Columbia Archery has access to the Columbia Field Hockey Stadium for its outdoor practice sessions. Located in the center of Baker Athletics Complex, the Columbia Field Hockey Stadium made its debut in 2006 and was officially dedicated during the 2007 season. In 2010, it was resurfaced to provide a first-class, state-of-the-art synthetic polypropylene playing surface.

During the winter months (December through March), Columbia Archery has access to a brand-new indoor winter practice facility, the Bubble at Baker, a Seasonal Air-Supported Structure (SASS) located at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium. Located at Columbia’s Baker Athletics Complex (corner of Broadway and 218th Street) and adjacent to the Campbell Sports Center, the Bubble at Baker is a heated air-supported dome enclosing Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium and field. The facility also features a brand-new Field Turf Revolution 360 playing surface, which was installed in October 2017. The Bubble at Baker features approximately 92,000-square feet of practice space.
