Brandon Kinney is a senior captain on the wrestling team. Kinney earned a bid to the nationals this year after placing third at Easterns at 125 pounds.

Why did you want to become a wrestler? I didn't, but I got the flyer in my elementary school mailbox and decided to try it out. It turned out that I was awful, and got pinned every single match for an entire year. I didn't want to do it again, but got roped in, and I guess it stuck.
What's the most difficult thing about wrestling? It's all mental, and your body really takes a beating.
Favorite moment as a member of the Columbia wrestling team? I have a feeling it's going to come in my last season, at the very end...
Why do you like wrestling for Coach Buckley? He's very understanding to our needs, and will do whatever he can to help us reach our goals.
What song do you never tire of hearing? Anything by Kelly Clarkson. What, you don't like Kelly? You know, there are only two kinds of people in this world: those who like Kelly Clarkson, and liars...
If your life were a movie, what actor/actress would play your love interest? Adriana Lima
Favorite video game: Mario Kart 64
One TV show people don't believe that you watch: I don't watch any television.
Most embarrassing song on your ipod? Either the entire Hilary Duff collection, “Damn I wish I was your lover” by Sophie B. Hawkins, or Boyz II Men “I'll make love to you”.
If you could bring anything from your hometown to the Columbia Campus, what would it be? Do I pick from the tractors, the three stoplights or the water tower?
Who is your favorite athlete? Brett Favre or Jose Reyes; they just have so much fun doing it.
Who is your hero? My father and grandfather. I only want to be as hard working and honest as them.
My number one weakness is: Black and white cookies.
Best advice you have ever received? Nothing really worthwhile in life ever comes easy.
