Men's Squash Sweeps Vassar, Northeastern and Bard

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Columbia men's squash team defeated Vassar 9-0, Northeastern 6-3, and Bard 9-0 in a solid day of action on Saturday, January 29. With the wins, the Lions improve to 8-2 this season.
Columbia won all 27 games against the host school Vassar. Tony Zou dominated at the No. 2 spot, defeating Arjun Jain 11-2, 11-1, 11-4, while Theo Buchsbaum was also impressive at No. 4 defeating Ansser Sadig 11-2, 11-3, 11-3. Thomas Brosens gave up just seven points at No. 9, downing Riley McCabe 11-2, 11-0, 11-4.
In the second match, Columbia defeated Northeastern 6-3 in its closest match of the day. The Lions won the top three spots in three straight games. Buchsbaum dropped his first game 13-11 to Max Kucher, but came back to win the next three 11-4, 13-11, 12-10 for the victory at No. 4. Columbia's two other wins were by Alec Goldberg and Anchit Nayar who both won 3-0 at No. 5 and No. 6.
Columbia (8-2) returns to action on Sunday, January 30 when it hosts Middlebury at 6 p.m. at the StreetSquash facility.
