No. 16 Men's Tennis Picks Up Seven Wins on Day 2 of MLK Invite

ATLANTA, Ga. - The No. 16 Columbia men's tennis team continued competition at Georgia Tech's MLK Invitational at the Ken Byers Complex by winning seven matches - four in singles and three in doubles - over the Ramblin Wreck.
The Lions won three of four doubles matches with all the victories coming by a score of 6-4. Winston Lin and Mike Vermeer downed Christopher Eubanks and Nathan Rakitt and the team of Richard Pham and Bert Vancura defeated Casey Kay and Michael. Eric Rubin and Miguel Alda edged Cole Fiegel and Elijah Melendez to round out the Columbia wins on the doubles court.
In singles, 22nd-ranked Lin cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over No. 49 Rakitt. Ignat topped Eubanks, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6. Shawn Hadavi bested Daniel Yun, 6-3, 6-3, while Alda defeated Casey Kay, 6-1, 6-3.
Columbia concludes play at the MLK Invite tomorrow versus No. 2 Oklahoma.
