THE STORYLINES

COLUMBIA'S STATUS
The Lions ended non-conference play with a 96-68 win over Central Penn. Columbia pulled away late in the game and received a career-night from Jeff Coby, who poured in 20 points and 13 rebounds.

CORNELL'S STATUS
The Big Red have had 10 days off since holding off Howard, 84-81, on the road on Jan. 6.

Junior Robert Hatter leads the Ivy League, checking in at 19.9 points per game, to go with 4.1 assists. Inside, David Onuorah is pulling down 8.1 rebounds per game and has registered four double-doubles.

SERIES HISTORY
Columbia leads the all-time series 125-98, dating back to 1902-03. The teams each won on the road last season to earn a split.

COLUMBIA IN IVY LEAGUE OPENERS
The Lions are 28-31 all-time in Ivy League openers and are 4-1 under the direction of Kyle Smith, including last season's 48-45 win over Cornell in Ithaca. Columbia is 32-26 in its home conference debuts and 17-10 when starting the 14-game tournament in Levien Gymnasium.

EARLY SEASON SUCCESS
Columbia's 11 non-conference wins before Ivy League play is tied for the most in school history. In 2011-12, the Lions posted an 11-5 record prior the 14-game tournament. Including postseason, Columbia's record for non-conference wins in a season came in 2013-14 when they went 13-7.

JAZZY JEFF
Junior Jeff Coby provided a huge lift off the bench in Columbia's victories over Maryland-Eastern Shore and Central Penn. He netted 11 points to go with six rebounds andbroke a long scoring drought in the second half and helped the team erase a five-point deficit over the Hawks. Three days later, Coby posted career-highs of 20 points and 13 rebounds against Central Penn for his second career double-double.

DOUBLE (DOUBLE) THE FUN
After registering just one double-double all of 2014-15 (Jeff Coby vs. Lehigh), Columbia has three this season. Alex Rosenberg notched 10 points and 10 boards in the season opener against Kean, Luke Petrasek accomplished the feat with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Howard, while Jeff Coby posted 20 points and 13 boards against Central Penn.

FROM DOWNTOWN
Columbia has been relient on the 3-point shot this season with 47.0 percent of its attempts coming from beyond the arc. The long-ball comrpises 39.9 percent of their total points, which is 11th in the nation according to KenPom. The Lions' 453 attempts are the 12th most and 172 makes are 10th highest in the NCAA. In addition, their 10.1 per game put them 13th in that category.
