NEW YORK— While Columbia fencing has a little break from NCAA competition to prepare for the Ivy League Championships, Lion fencers have been keeping busy and earning hardware on the national stage.
This weekend, sophomores Iman Blow and Quinn Crum traveled to Austria for the Modeling Austria Jr. Women's Foil World Cup. Blow finished in ninth place and Crum came in eighteenth. Blow also helped team USA win gold in the team foil event.
Last weekend, sophomore sabre fencer Calvin Liang traveled west for the Arizona Junior Sabre World Cup. He finished third overall and came home with an individual bronze medal.
Columbia fencing will be back in action on February 11th and 12th, when it heads to Philadelphia for the Ivy League Championship on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
