
Fencing Hosts Historical Meet on Senior Night

NEW YORK, NY - Columbia men's and women's fencing will fence in their final regular season meet of the season when they host the Historical Meet on senior night at the Dodge fitness center.
The Lions will honor seniors Chris Ahn, Maciej Biernacki, Michael Costin, Elijah Granet, Jessie Laffey, Margaret Lu, Mason Speta and Sara Taffel for their contributions to the program in a pre-game ceremeony.
IVY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
It was a jam-packed weekend for the Lions in which the men's team was crowned Ivy League champions, along with Penn and Princeton who all finished 4-1 oin the weekend. Women's fencing fell just short of the the championship, after going undefeated in both days of competition until they fell to undefeated Princeton in the decisive match.

NYC rivals
Columbia will face Coach Michael Aufrichtig's alma mater, NYU, for the second time this season. In their first matchup at the Columbia Challenge Cup, men's fencing rallied back from an 11-10 deficit to ultimately win 14-13. Women's fencing won handily, 25-2.
