Maddie O'Connor Finishes as Runner-Up in Holleran East

Maddie O'Connor had a great weekend at CSA Individual Championships which ended with a runner-up finish in the Holleran East bracket.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Maddie O'Connor had a great weekend at CSA Individual Championships which ended with a runner-up finish in the Holleran East bracket.
O'Connor was the No.1 seed in the bracket and played through three tough rounds of competition to make it to finals.
She defeated Haverford's Kaitlin Reese in three sets in the opening round. O'Connor then had to face her own teammate Jui Kalgutkar in the quarter-finals and she got by her in three as well.
O'Connor went up 2-0 against Cornell's Margaux Losty but Losty fought back to tie the match at 2-2. Maddie was able to close it out in the fifth with an 11-7 win.
In the final, Maddie went up 1-0 on George Washington's Zoe Foo Yuk Han. Zoe was able to win the next three sets to secure the win.
This is the second straight year that Maddie has finished as the runner-up in this bracket.
