Lightweight Rowing Announces 2019 Fall Schedule

Columbia Lightweight Rowing will take part in the 55th Head of the Charles and the Princeton Chase.
NEW YORK – In preparation for the upcoming spring season, Columbia Lightweight Rowing will take part in two fall races, as head coach Nich Lee Parker announced, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the 2019 fall schedule that sees the Lions heading to the prestigious 55th Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 19-20 and the Princeton Chase on Oct. 27, as the Lions set their sights on the 2020 season.
Columbia will open its fall slate on Oct. 19 by heading to the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta, which is contested on the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the event runs until Oct. 20. A week after competing in the Head of the Charles, Columbia will head about 40 minutes into New Jersey to take part in the Princeton Chase on Oct. 27 at Princeton, New Jersey.
The Lions return several key members of the previous season's squad, and this upcoming year will look to get their first Varsity Eight IRA National Championship since the 2018 season.
