Women's Squash Closes Out Season With Loss to Yale 7-2

Columbia women's squash ends their 2018-19 campaign No. 7 in the nation
HARTFORD, CONN- The Lions closed out their team season today in an afternoon match against Yale. No. 6 Columbia dropped a 7-2 decision against the No. 3 Yale Bulldogs. This afternoon's matchup was the final round of the consolation bracket of the Howe Cup, which consisted of the top eight teams from the nation. This was the highest finish in program history.
Sophomore Habiba Mohamed served as the second person in the ladder for this weekend, and earned a 3-0 record in the CSA Team championships. Mohamed topped Helen Teegan in a long 3-2 match in today's competition. Jui Kalgutkar also tallied a win for the Lions this afternoon with a 3-1 win over Aishwarya Battacharya (10-12, 7-11, 11-6, 4-11).
Next up for Columbia women's squash is the CSA Individual Championships which will be held on March 1-3 in Providence, R.I. Participant information will be released closer to the championship start date.
