Senior Renee Ren from the Columbia women's tennis team is this week's spotlight for Fun Fact Friday. Quick, to the point and certainly some informative answers will help you get to know the Renee off the court!
What do you like most about New York City?
I love how pretty much everything I need is a subway ride away!
Who is your role model and Why?
Everyone can be a role model to me in some way or another, no matter their age, background or skills!
How do you prepare for a game?
I love a solid practice the day before and a thorough warm-up the day of, and I always imagine executing my gameplan before going into the match.
Best part about competing in your sport?
The feeling of competing on court and challenging yourself to play your best game is one of the most exhilarating, addictive feelings possible.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of athletics?
I love cooking, reading and dabbling in the arts.
Favorite movie?
Maybe a guilty pleasure, but I love a good animated movie, anything from Pixar, Disney, Studio Ghibli... just not movies with cheesy musical bits though.
Favorite food?
Anything my parents make!
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Doctor, specifically an orthopedic surgeon.
