Three new Lions join for 2021-22
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's squash program formally announced its three newcomers for the 2021-22 academic year on Tuesday. The recent additions hail from three different countries (India, Canada, China) with a wealth of experience on the international stage.
"We want to welcome Diksha, Sarah and Sin Yuk to the Columbia Lions Squash family! These three incredibly talented women come from all over the world with tremendous skill and international playing experience," said associate head coach Joanne Schickerling. "Their presence on the team is going to have an immediate impact to the culture and depth of our team and help the us reach our highest national ranking yet."
Diksha Aurobindo
Salem, Tamil Nadu, India - Glazebrooke Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Winner of the 2018 Junior National Championship in Jaipur… Winner of the 2018 Hamdard Delton Championship in Delhi… Winner of the 2018 Otters Club Championship in Mumbai … Took second at the TN Championship in Chennai and Ray Malik Championship in Bangalore, both in 2019 … Earned a silver finish at the 2020 Century Championship in Bangalore … Bronze awardee at the 2019 Bengal Junior Championship in Kolkata and the 2018 ISA Junior Championship in Chennai … Also competed in track & field in high school … Best English Student 2018 & 2019 … Best Social Science Student 2018 … School Topper, Computer Science 2019 … Enrolled in Columbia College
