Garrett Ryan '18CC Set To Compete At U.S. Wrestling Olympic Trials

Columbia Wrestling alumni, Garrett Ryan, will take his shot over the weekend (Apr. 2-3) at qualifying for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Columbia Wrestling alumni Garrett Ryan '18CC will take his shot at qualifying for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as he takes part in the 2021 U.S. Wrestling Olympic Trails in Fort Worth, Texas, with the tournament set to run over the weekend from April 2-3.

Ryan, who finished with a career record of 103-41 at Columbia and was a four-time NCAA qualifier, will wrestle in the Men's Freestyle category at 125kg and he enters the weekend as the eighth seed. His opening match, which is set to get going during the morning session, is against a familiar opponent as Lehigh senior Jordan Wood will be the first obstacle that Ryan has to overcome on his road to Tokyo.
