NEW YORK -- Former Columbia men's tennis standout, Jack Lin '21CC, will be presented with the 2022 NCAA Today's Top 10 Award at the NCAA Convention on Wednesday, Jan. 19. Lin joins former NCAA Champion fencer Iman Blow '19CC as the second lion to earn this prestigious award.

The Today's Top 10 award recognizes former student-athletes for their successes on the field, in the classroom and in the community. The recipients — who completed their athletics eligibility during the 2020-21 academic year — will be recognized at the Honors Celebration held on the first night of the 2022 NCAA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Alongside teammate Jackie Tang, Lin was crowned the Doubles National Champion at the 2019 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championship event. The inaugural Ivy League Duo to hold the national title, Lin and Tang became the first Lions to earn First Team All-American honors as a Doubles Team.

As a sophomore in 2019, Lin became the fifth Lion to earn All-American singles honors, doing so with a Round of 16 appearance at the 2019 NCAA Singles Championships. Undefeated in Ivy singles competition, the Ontario native received First Team All-Ivy (Singles) recognition after landing on the Second Team in 2018. Following a successful rookie campaign, Lin was named 2018 ITA Northeast Rookie of the Year after advancing to the second round of the NCAA Doubles National Tournament.

Academically, Lin was a six-time member of the Columbia University Dean's List (2018-2021) and earned Academic All-Ivy League Recognition three times (2019-2021). Over the course of the psychology major's four-year collegiate athletic career, Lin was recognized as an ITA National Scholar-Athlete (2017-2021).

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lin served as a Patient Assistant at Markham Stouffville Hospital ensuring patient safety and comfort while in hospital care. A special concentration graduate in pre-dental studies, Lin currently works as a Dental Assistant at Woo Dental, where he interned in 2019, and as a Sterilization Technician at Maple Dental Health.

The NCAA Honors Committee, which selects the honorees, is composed of representatives from member schools and conferences, as well as nationally distinguished citizens including past awardees.
