Lions in Fifth Place at Princeton Invite

Wyatt McGovern leads Lions in 12th place, Nathan Han in 18th heading into Sunday’s final round; Columbia finishes the day with a two-round five-over-par 285-288-573.
PRINCETON, N.J.—Columbia's Wyatt McGovern (12th place) and Nathan Han (18th place) are both ranked among the top-20 golfers as the Columbia men's golf team will enter Sunday's final round in fifth place at five-over-par 285-288-573 at the Princeton Invitational. Held at Springdale Golf Club, the 54-hole, two-day Princeton Invitational concludes tomorrow with the final round. Live results are available at this link.
Columbia's five players will tee off tomorrow's final round at 9:30 a.m.
McGovern finished the first two rounds at Even 71-71-142. He concluded the day with six birdies and 25 pars. McGovern shot two-under on the first round's front nine. He is just three strokes out of second place and seven strokes behind individual leader William Huang (-7, 67-68-135) of Princeton.
Han was consistent all day as he finished at one-over-par 72-71-143. He also tallied six birdies while finishing at two-under on the first-round's front nine.
Next up for the Lions were DJ Francey and Daniel Core who both ended the first day in 28th place. Francey finished at two-over-par 72-72-144 with four birdies and Core went two-over-par 70-74-144. Core's first round 70 marked the Lions' lowest round of the day after he fired birdies on three of four holes (3, 4, and 6) in the first round.
Rounding out the Lions scorers was William Sung, who is in 57th place at eight-over-par 76-74-150.
The Princeton B team is in first place at nine-under-par 276-283-559 with the Princeton A team in second place at eight-under-par 283-277-560. Fifteen total teams are participating in the event including Brown (club team), Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Howard, Penn, host Princeton A, host Princeton B, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Seton Hall, Temple, and Yale.
The Springdale Golf Club has a par of 71 with a total yardage of 6,456.
The event marks the final tournament for the Lions before the Ivy League Championship, which is set for April 22-24 at Century Country Club in Purchase, N.Y.
