Seven Wrestlers Earn EIWA All-Academic Status

BETHLEHEM, Penn. – Seven Lions earned an all-academic award from the EIWA following the conclusion of the 2022-23 wrestling season.
Nick Babin (125), Angelo Rini (133), Danny Fongaro (149), Joshua Ogunsanya (165), Lennox Wolak (174), Aaron Ayzerov (184), and Billy McChesney (285) make up the list of Lions recognized by the EIWA.
To be eligible for the EIWA All-Academic award, student-athletes must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and participated in the EIWA Tournament or achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and represent the EIWA and their institution at the NCAA Championships.
Babin is enrolled in Columbia College. He placed fifth at the EIWA Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships. Rini is enrolled in Columbia College and is majoring in economics. He finished in third place at the EIWA Championships this year and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Fongaro placed sixth at the EIWA Championships. He is enrolled in Columbia College and is majoring in political science. Ogunsanya finished third at the EIWA Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships. He is also enrolled in Columbia College majoring in political science.
Wolak placed third at the EIWA Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships. He is enrolled in Columbia College and is majoring in psychology. Ayzerov finished eighth at the EIWA Championships. McChesney also garnered EIWA All-Academic honors. Ayzerov and McChesney both are enrolled in Columbia College.
