Vicenzin brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Lions
NEW YORK — Columbia head fencing coach Michael Aufrichtig has announced the appointment of Sara Vicenzin as sabre coach.
"Sara Vicenzin brings tremendous experience, knowledge, and professionalism, which will align well with our program's vision of maximizing our student-athletes potential," said Aufrichtig. She has also coached with the U.S. National Team at various World Cups. In her first season working with American fencers, Vicenzin helped her students achieve 10 medals at the North American Cup Competitions and two medals at the cadet and junior world cups.
