Wrestling Announces 2024-25 Schedule

“The Nation’s Oldest Program” will host five home matches

NEW YORK – The 2024-25 Columbia wrestling schedule will again feature dual matches and tournaments against some of the top talent in the country. Five home contests highlight the schedule, including duals against Indiana, Hofstra Penn, Princeton and Cornell.
 
Andrew F. Barth Head Coach of Wrestling Donny Pritzlaff will make his Columbia debut on Sunday, November 3 when the Lions open the season at the Princeton Open. Columbia continues the road swing to start the season with its first dual match on November 15 at Cleveland State. The Lions finish the weekend with a dual match at Michigan on November 17.
 
Columbia's home opener is set for Thursday, November 21 against Indiana. The Lions will host just two home duals before Christmas as Columbia also plays host to Hofsta on Saturday, December 21 at 11 a.m. in the University Gymnasium "Blue Gym".
 
The Lions will compete at the Black Knight Invite hosted by Army on Sunday, November 24. Columbia will then head to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite for the two-day tournament on December 6 and 7.
 
Coming out of the Christmas break, Columbia will travel to Albany, New York for the Armbar at the Armory event. The Lions will compete in three duals on January 5 against Lock Haven, Maryland and Binghamton. Columbia will then head to the David H. Lehman F&M Open the next weekend on January 10 for the final tournament before conference action begins.
 
Columbia will start Ivy League action on Friday, January 24 at home against Penn. The Lions host three straight Ivy League foes to kick off league action as Columbia hosts Princeton and January 26 and Cornell on February 2.
 
The Lions hit the road for the final weekend of Ivy League action on February 15 at Harvard. Columbia will then travel to Brown the next day on February 16 for the final conference dual of the season. The Lions travel to Bucknell on February 21 to close out the regular season.
 
The first annual Ivy League wrestling championships will be held on Sunday, March 9 at Princeton. From there, NCAA qualifiers will head to Philadelphia for the NCAA Championships starting on March 20.
