Three Wrestlers Garner Honorable Mention All-Ivy League Recognition

Columbia will compete at the EIWA Championships this weekend
PRINCETON, N.J. – Nick Babin, Lennox Wolak and Aaron Ayzerov were named honorable mention as part of the 2024 All-Ivy League honors as announced by the Ivy League on Wednesday, March 6.
Babin, Wolak and Ayzerov each finished the Ivy League dual slate with a 3-2 record. As a team, Columbia was 2-3 against Ivy League opponents with wins against Harvard and Brown.
Babin posted a ranked win over No. 29 Max Gallagher for his first Ivy win of the season at 125 pounds. He also defeated Harvard's Isaiah Adams via fall and Brown's Michael Joyce to finish the Ivy slate. Babin also earned Academic All-Ivy recognition for his commitment to the classroom.
Wolak defeated Princeton's Michael Squires in the first Ivy dual of the season at 174 pounds. Wolak went on to defeat Cornell's Benny Baker before finishing the Ivy slate with a win via fall against Jonathan Conrad from Brown.
Ayzerov earned a Top-10 victory against Cornell's No. 7 Chris Foca for his first official Ivy win of the season at 184 pounds. Ayzerov previously defeated Foca at the Cliff Keen Invitational in December. Ayzerov finished the Ivy slate with wins over Harvard's Luke Rada and Brown's Colby Isabelle.
The Lions are back in action at the EIWA Championships this weekend at Bucknell. One Columbia wrestler will be represented in each weight class with a chance to advance to the NCAA Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. The championships start on Friday and wrap up on Saturday. The event will be streamed through FloWrestling and live results will be available through the FloSports Arena each day.
