Men’s Tennis Adds Four Newcomers

Columbia’s 2024-25 class is ranked 10th in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net
NEW YORK – Columbia's Bidyut K. Goswami Head Coach of Men's Tennis Howard Endelman '87CC officially introduced four newcomers to the 2024-25 roster Wednesday.
The incoming group was rated as the No. 10 recruiting class in the country by tennisrecruiting.net. The class features Thanaphat Boosarawongse, Jordan Chang, Jung Hee You and Andrew Kotzen.
"We are excited for our first-year players to arrive in the fall," Endelman said. "We feel that they all fit our culture and are dedicated and committed to reaching their potential - both in the classroom and on the tennis court."

Played for coaches Aggelos Venizelos and Martin Alund at IMG Academy … Competed in the Australian Open and US Open junior tournaments … Achieved a high ranking of No. 87 in the ITF U18 junior rankings … Ranked as the No. 1 junior player in the Thailand U18 rankings … A two-time Student-Athlete of the Year honoree at IMG Academy (2021, 2023) … Earned the High Honors Academic Award at IMG Academy … A member of the IMG Academy Tennis Player Council.

JORDAN CHANG – 6'0 – FY – CC – Oakland Gardens, N.Y. / Queens H.S. for the Sciences at York College

Comes to Columbia as a Blue Chip recruit … Grew up training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy … Has served as an official hitter during the US Open, including serving as a partner for Michael Zheng during his US Open qualifying appearance in 2023 … Also was a hitting partner for then World No. 9 Alex de Minaur and then World No. 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas … Improved his rating from a four-star recruit to one of the top recruits in nation.
