Gerard O’Keefe Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

The first-year guard came up big in Saturday’s win
PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia men's basketball guard Gerard O'Keefe was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
O'Keefe led Columbia in scoring with a game-high 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field in Saturday's 74-72 comeback win over Brown. The Lions were down by 15 with 8:21 left. O'Keefe had two clutch lay-ups that were part of a 17-3 run over the final 5:08 to complete the comeback.
O'Keefe posted his second 20-point performance of the season on Saturday. The Nashville, Tenn. native also added four rebounds, three assists, and a steal against the Bears. O'Keefe was 4-4 from the free throw line.
Columbia hits the road for a back-to-back at Dartmouth on Friday at 6 p.m. and Harvard on Saturday at 6 p.m. Both games will air live on ESPN+.
