Men’s Basketball Drops Road Contest at Dartmouth

Noland pours in a game-high 19 points and matches career-high
HANOVER, N.H. — Columbia men's basketball fell to Dartmouth on Friday night, 78-56, inside Leede Arena.
Dartmouth (11-10, 5-3) led most of the way and shot 47.4 percent from the field. Kenny Noland played all 40 minutes and dropped 19 points, tying his career-high. His night included a career-high nine field goals made. Gerard O'Keefe added 13 points and Jake Tavroff had a team-high eight rebounds.
After falling behind 16-8 almost eight minutes in, Noland finished back-to-back layups to bring the Lions (12-9, 1-7) within four.
O'Keefe got hot late in the first half by drilling a reverse fadeaway and then a step-back three to bring Dartmouth's lead to 29-24 at the under-four media timeout.
Ryan Cornish drained a triple with three seconds before the break to boost Dartmouth's lead to 36-27 at the half. Columbia was 1-9 from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes.
Dartmouth opened up a 14-point lead over the first 5:31 of the second half. The Big Green would lead by as much as 23 with 1:01 to go.
Columbia is back in action Saturday night at Harvard. Tip-off from Lavietes Pavilion is set for 6 p.m.
