Men’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

The Lions will play 15 non-conference contests before beginning Ivy League play; open at home vs. Elon on Nov. 2
NEW YORK — Columbia men's basketball head coach Kevin Hovde has announced the program's 2026-27 non-conference schedule, featuring 15 games and nine home matchups at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium.
The Lions open the campaign at home for the first time since 2015-16 when they welcome Elon to New York City on Monday, Nov. 2. Columbia's three-game homestand to start the season continues with matchups against SUNY Old Westbury on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Stonehill on Monday, Nov. 9. The Lions then begin a three-game road swing at Bucknell on Friday, Nov. 13, Northwestern on Monday, Nov. 16 and Boston University on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The Lions return to Levien Gymnasium for a pair of Thanksgiving week contests against Saint Peter's on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and North Florida on Saturday, Nov. 28. Columbia then travels to St. John's on Tuesday, Dec. 1 before visiting New Haven for the second straight year on Friday, Dec. 4.
Columbia continues its non-conference schedule with three consecutive home games, welcoming Hofstra for a second straight season on Tuesday, Dec. 8, Army on Friday, Dec. 11, and Norfolk State on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The Lions then travel to UAlbany on Tuesday, Dec. 29 before closing out the non-conference slate at home with a New Year's Eve showdown vs. Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
