Captured the 2019 NCAA women’s foil individual championship … Two-time NCAA Bronze Medal/third place finisher (2018 and 2022) … Three-time First Team All-America selection (2018, 2019, 2022) … Three-time NCAA Northeast Regional medalist (Silver in 2018 and 2022, Bronze in 2019) … Two-time Ivy League foil champion (2018, 2019) … Three-time All-Ivy League fencer, including two-time First Team All-Ivy League selection (2018-19) and one-time Second Teamer (2022) … Two-time Academic All-Ivy League selection (2019 Winter, 2022 Fencing) … Earned Columbia University’s prestigious Connie S. Born Sylvie Alexandra Binder on June 25, 1999 in New York City … Daughter of Jeffrey and Cynthia Binder … Parents both graduated from Johns Hopkins University … Younger sister Abby plays volleyball and younger brother Zach fences … Organized “Go Green” fencing tournament in which proceeds went to the Conservation Fund, a non-profit organization that preserves farm and woodlands across the United States … Interned at ArtsWestchester, a nonprofit art organization, during her senior year of high school … Columbia was her dream school because it allows her to be part of a world-class institution while pursuing her passion for fencing … Listens to rap before meets to “get in the zone”… Hobbies include art, exploring new places to eat and photography … Favorite movie is the Sound of Music … Enrolled at Columbia College … Majors in American Studies.
