The Columbia men's golf is tied for eighth after two rounds of the Rollins College Intercollegiate tournament. The Lions shot 295-292 as a team to finish 16 strokes behind leaders Rollins. Chris Condello (Longwood, Fla.) is the team leader for Columbia in the event held at Forest Lake Golf Club in Ocoee, Fla.
Condello finished the 36-hole first day with a 73-73-147, good for a tie for 20th. Joe Kim (Aliso Niguel, Calif.) finished one stroke behind Condello by shooting a 73-74-147. Senior Darren Bolton (Lynnfield, Mass.) shot the squad's best round of the day with a second round 71 to finish tied for 39th with a 149. First-year Clayton Broyles (West Monroe, La.) tied for 43rd, just a stroke behind Bolton. The final member of the Lions' squad, Chris Belz (San Antonio, Texas) shot a first round 73, but slumped to a 79 in the second 18 for a 152.
The individual tournament is very congested as just nine shots seperate the top ten from 43rd place.
