NEW HAVEN, CONN. - Columbia finished 11th out of 19 teams at the MacDonald Cup held at the Yale University Golf Course, playing through soggy conditions on both days.

After shooting 300 in the first round, the Lions shot 298 on the second day of competition, finishing 18 strokes behind eventual champion Penn.

First-year Chris Arkin (Irvine, Calif.) was Columbia's top finisher, carding a pair of 74s to finish eight-over par. Junior Scott Chisholm (Essex Fells, N.J.) shot 76-74 and sophomore Chris Condello (Longwood, Fla.) shot 77-73 over the two days, as both finished two strokes behind Arkin. Junior Joseph Kim (Aliso Niguel, Calif.) shot 73-79-152, while sophomore Gus Quartararo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) finished at 155 (77-78), while junior Matt Wong (Fair Oaks, Calif.) shot a 159 and senior Chris Belz (San Antonio, Texas) finished with a 164.

Columbia returns to action next weekend at the Penn Big 5 Inviational in Philadelphia, starting on Saturday, October 15 with playing concluding the following day.
