PHILADELPHIA, PA - Erison Hurtault won the 400m to headline the Lions' performances at the conclusion of the 2006 Outdoor Ivy League Heptagonal Championships.

Erison Hurtault won his third consecutive outdoor Heps title in the 400m dash with the fastest Ivy time ever, 46.12, and the fourth fastest time overall. The meet record is 46.11, by Navy's Michael Green. Hurtault remains undefeated in the Ivy League in the 400m in his three years at Columbia.

On the women's side, Whitney Crayton gave the Lions a title in the 400m hurdles, running 60.33. It is Crayton's first Ivy League Heptagonal title.

In the men's 1500m, Columbia's Liam Boylan-Pett finished second in a time of 3:45.12, which puts him at No. 6 on the Meet Top 10 list.

Jeff Randall and Alan Weeth finished second and third in 9:04.45 and 9:08.56. Randall threatened the lead, but tripped on the final water barrier. Randall recouped and made up the time in the final 100m for the second place finish.

First-year Melissa Ikono finished second in the 100m in 11.95, while Erika Moses finished fourth in the 400m in a time of 54.81.

Sarah Decker finished sixth in the 800m (2:08.95) and Daniella Padilla finished sixth in the 3000m in 9:43.96. Tenke Zoltani and Stephanie Lenihan finished sixth and seventh in the 5000m in 16:52.52 and 17:01.06.

In the steeple, Columbia took second, fifth and sixth as Lisa Stublic ran 10:18.87 to finish second behind Anna Willard of Brown. Both Willard and Stublic's times broke the meet record set by Columbia's Delilah DiCrescenzo. Laura Meyers and Shelby Leland finished fifth and sixth respectively.

Katy Schlichtman finished fifth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 63.02.

The women's 4x100m relay broke a school record in a time of 46.96.

The track and field student-athletes that qualified for the ECAC/IC4A Championships will be competing next week.
