Former Columbia quarterback Jeff Otis '05CC has led the Frankfurt Galaxy to its fourth NFL Europe title. Otis quarterbacked the Galaxy to a 22-7 triumph over the Amsterdam Admirals in Yello Strom World Bowl XIV May 27 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Otis, the Lions' No. 2 passer all-time in both completions (429) and passing yards (4,666), completed 5-of-12 passes for 32 yards at rain-soaked LTU Arena Saturday. He also rushed for a first down on a 3rd-and-short to preserve a drive that resulted in a Galaxy field goal.
"It's great," Otis says on the NFL Europe Website. "You couldn't end a season any better. You make it to the last game and you don't want to go home a loser. We got it done today and we're not going to go home losers. We're going to go home champs."
For the season, Otis was 48 of 91 for 560 yards and four touchdowns.
