NEW YORK, N.Y. - Senior defender Kate Mansur (C-Greenfield, Mass.) earned first team All-Ivy honors as announced by Ivy League officials Tuesday afternoon, while first-year midfielder Liz Reeve (C-San Diego, Calif.) was named an honorable mention All-Ivy selection.
Mansur, a second team All-Ivy player last season, started every game as the Lions' central defender. She finished the season with six points on two goals and two assists, bumping her career-totals to 10 goals and two assists for 22 points.
"Kate is very deserving of this recognition," Head Coach Katie Beach said. "She was a key component in all of our special situations (offensive corners, defensive corners, overtimes and strokes), and she demonstrated why she was one of the best defenders in the Ivy League."
Reeve was one of only four first-year players to make a first, second or honorable mention team. Reeve led the Lions with 11 points on four goals and three assists. She led the team in assists, as well as ranking sixth in the Ivy League in conference-game assists.
"Liz played with composure, poise and confidence and led the team when added leadership was needed," Beach said. "She earned Rookie of the Week honors after our first conference win and she established herself as one of the top rookies in the League."
The Light Blue finished with a 5-11 overall and 2-5 Ivy League record, recording multiple Ivy wins for just the third time in the program's nine-year history.
