NEW YORK -- Seniors Rashad Biggers, Kevin Coco, Wade Fletcher and Michael Quarshie have earned All-Ivy honors by a vote of the league's head coaches, the conference office announced. Fletcher and Quarshie garnered first-team accolades, while Biggers and Coco represent Columbia on the second team. Chuck Britton, Prosper Nwokocha and Keenan Shaw each earned honorable mention.

Fletcher, a tight end from Littleton, Colo., was the Lions' top receiver with 52 catches despite missing the first two games of the season due to injury. He was third in the league in receptions per game with 6.50 rpg and sixth in receiving yards per game with 71.9. In two years as a Lion, Fletcher made 111 catches for 1449 yards. In his last game vs. Brown, he had 150 yards receiving on 13 grabs, marking the most catches in a game by a Columbia receiver since tight end Bert Bondi '99 had 14 vs. Cornell in 1996. Fletcher had earned second-team All-Ivy in 2003.

Quarshie, a captain and defensive tackle, led the Ivies in tackles for a loss (TFL) with 19 and ranks third in Division I-AA with 1.90 TFL per game as of Nov. 23. He was third on the squad in tackles with 59, and had 1.5 sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a recovery. Quarshie, who hails from Helsinki, Finland, was District 1 Academic All-America and a recipient of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Scholar Class post-graduate scholarship. Quarshie was selected second-team All-Ivy in 2003.

Biggers returned from missing all of 2003 to finish fourth in the league in rushing with 77.0 yards per game. The tailback from Lewisburg, Tenn. finished just six yards shy of cracking the school's top five list for single-season rushing with 770.

Coco earned second-team all league for the second consecutive year. The 6-foot-3, 295-lb. offensive tackle was also an Academic All-Ivy honoree last fall.

Britton, a captain from Manahawkin, N.J. who now lives in Surf City, finished fourth on the team in tackles for the second consecutive year. The linebacker racked up 56 tackles - five for a loss - had two sacks, an interception and three passes broken up.

Nwokocha, a cornerback from Arlington, Texas, earns honorable mention for the second straight season. The junior had 32 tackles, an interception and broke up five passes.

Shaw, a strong safety, had his first two career interceptions in the final two games of the season. The junior from Carlsbad, Calif. was second on the squad with 62 tackles, including six for a loss. He also added four pass breakups.
