NEW YORK - Jon Rocholl was named both the Ivy League Rookie of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week, and was further honored as The Sports Network's Division I-AA Special Teams Player of the Week.

Rocholl is the first individual to win two Ivy weekly honors in the same week since the Rookie of the Week honor was re-established in 2001. No player has won multiple awards in the same week since Brown's Gordie Myers in 1993.

The first-year from Fort Wayne, Ind. hit three field goals vs. Duquesne Saturday to extend his string of consecutive made field goals to six, tying a Columbia record. Kurt Dasbach '88 in 1987 and Matt Pollard '90 in 1988 also made six in a row.

Rocholl hit field goals of 40 and 46 yards in the third quarter to tie the score 6-6, then added a 22-yarder early in the fourth to give the Lions the lead.

Also Columbia's punter, Rocholl booted one 74 yards in the third quarter, three yards short of a Columbia record. He added two extra points (4 of 4 for the season).

With a team-high 22 points, he is on pace to break Columbia's record for career scoring by a kicker (90 pts.) in his first season. Rocholl is now 6 of 7 on field goal attempts; he missed his first try vs. Fordham.
