Jared Czech re-joined head coach Jim Engles at Columbia in 2016-17 after serving as his director of operations at NJIT in 2014-15. Czech’s primary responsibilities for the Lions include recruiting and player development.

Czech’s was the lead recruiter for Gabe Stefanini, who emerged as a second team All-Ivy League selection in 2018-19. Stefanini paced the squad, averaging 13.8 points and let the conference in assists per game (4.1).

In between his year with the Highlanders and Columbia, Czech was named Director of Hoop Group Elite Camp, the world’s largest basketball instructional organization in 2015.

Czech was on Joe Scott’s staff during the 2013-14 season as a graduate manager at the University of Denver. First involved with coaching when he was a high school student at St. Patrick’s in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Czech entered college coaching as a student assistant at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.
