Greg Bulsak joined the Columbia wrestling staff as an assistant coach in September 2024. Bulsak joins the Columbia coaching staff after a highly decorated collegiate career. Bulsak wrestled five seasons at Clarion University and one season at Rutgers. During his career, he was a five-time qualifier for the NCAA Division I National Wrestling Championships (2018-22). He is also a two-time Division I All-American, earning recognition in 2020 at Clarion and again in 2022 competing for Rutgers.
Bulsak compiled a 77-25 career record at Clarion. The 2021 season was a highlight as he posted a 12-3 record with nine wins via fall at 197 pounds. He earned the No. 14 seed at the 2021 NCAA Championships and was ranked as high as No. 8 in the FloWrestling rankings. Bulsak became Clarion’s first wrestler to win a MAC individual title during the 2020 season. Bulsak was a team captain for the Clarion squad for four straight years (2018-22). He is also a five-time Academic All-American.
In one season at Rutgers, Bulsak posted a 26-9 record at 197 pounds. He finished seventh at the 2022 Big Ten Championships and finished eighth at the NCAA Championships to earn All-American status. Bulsak defeated then-No. 2 and NCAA runner-up Nino Bonaccorsi (Pittsburgh) to secure the 2021 Matmen Open title. Bulsak helped Rutgers produce 15 wins and 68 team points in dual action.
A 2021 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Bulsak holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and fitness. He earned a certificate in labor and employment relations from Rutgers University in 2022.
