Columbia University Athletics

Abigail Witczak joined the Columbia Athletics administration in August 2025 as an Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. 

Witczak comes to Columbia after serving as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Iona University from 2021 to 2025. Prior to that, she was Director of Compliance at Army West Point, where she supported all facets of NCAA and Patriot League compliance operations. She began her career as a Compliance Coordinator at Marist College, managing eligibility, admissions, and NCAA rule compliance.

A standout student-athlete at Marist, Witczak was a four-year member and captain of the women’s lacrosse program, earning the 2017 Pizzani Award for exemplifying the college’s ideals of excellence, service, and leadership. She graduated from Marist with both a bachelor’s degree (2017) and master’s degree (2019) in communication.
