Cherisse Belser became the Director of Enrichment Services, Well-Being in May 2025 after serving as the Coordinator for Success Through Well-Being for more than a year and a half. She played a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Success Through Well-Being team and effectively supported the administrative responsibilities of her position, including communication with key stakeholders and supported the logistics and operations for Success Through Well-Being's programming.Â
In her current role, Belser provides holistic services and resources to support our student-athletes' well-being. She ensures student-athletes with identified well-being needs are connected to the appropriate resources, and develops well-being programming, initiatives, and resources for student-athletes. She also manages the operations of student-athlete leadership groups, and serves as a liaison with various health services campus agencies to communicate available resources to student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
A native of the greater Chicago area, Belser earned an MBA in 2023 from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, while serving as a manager for the Terrapins' women's basketball team and a game night marketing staff member for the Washington Wizards. Prior to attending UMD, she held roles in client support services and talent acquisition.
She attended the University of Notre Dame, where she held a leadership role in a student group dedicated to empowering Black women and also worked for the Fighting Irish's Football team and sports media unit before graduating in 2017 with her bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
