Heather Haigler has served Columbia University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education since 2007, bringing more than two decades of administrative and operational experience to the department. As executive assistant to the Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education, she manages the director’s comprehensive portfolio, including strategic scheduling, domestic travel, communications and confidential administrative matters. She also supports senior leadership across the department and provides mentorship and guidance to student employees within the executive suite.
Prior to her current role, Haigler served as administrative assistant to the senior associate athletics director/senior woman administrator, where she oversaw the Student-Athlete Tutoring Program, managed program budgets, supervised payroll for more than 55 tutors and coordinated large-scale academic and celebratory events for Columbia’s 700-plus student-athletes.
Before joining Columbia, she held administrative and office management roles in corporate, nonprofit and health care settings. Haigler has extensive experience in office management systems, workflow optimization and executive support.
She is committed to professionalism, discretion and enhancing the experience of student-athletes and staff at Columbia University.
A Bronx native, Haigler currently resides in Harlem.
