Kizmahr Grell

Kizmahr Grell is in his first season as an asssistant coach on the Columbia women's basketball staff. He was hired to his position in July of 2025.

Grell brings exerpeience as a coach and leadership trainer for 11 years at Sports Challenge Leadership Academy. He also has experience recruiting to New York City as an admissions associate at Boys Hope Girls Hope in Brooklyn. Most recently, Grell was the senior manager of athletics at Dream Charter School, holding that position since 2021.

In his playing days, Grell was a four-year letterwinner for the Dickinson College Red Devils. He was a three-year captain, three-time team MVP, two-time First Team All-Conference selection and graduated as the sixth-leading scorer in program history. Grell's professional basketball playing career spanned from 2009-12 and 2015-21. It included two stops in the Netherlands, one in France and two in Venezuela. During his time in Amsterdam, he competed in European Leagues in Greece, Spain, Germany and Hungary.

Grell earned a bachelor's degree fro Dickinson College in 2009. He resides in Queens with his wife, Silvia, and daughter, Kaia. Silvia is a physical therapist.
