Maggie Gavin joined the Columbia rowing staff in January 2024 as an assistant coach.
A 2017 graduate of Columbia, Gavin has remained actively involved with the Alumni Association, contributing to its endeavors in various capacities. During her four years as a Lion, Gavin earned both silver and gold medals at Eastern Sprints in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Gavin has since trained and competed with the Undine Barge Club of Philadelphia and the New York Athletic Club.
Gavin holds a B.A in Film and Media Studies from Columbia and she has played integral roles in Emmy-nominated documentary films while also leading marketing initiatives at Comcast and Microsoft. Gavin thanks her father, Paul, and her high school coach, Mike Brown, for introducing her and her three sisters to the sport of rowing.
