NEW YORK, N.Y. - John Baumann was named to the All-Ivy League second team, conference officials announced today.
The 6-8 forward ranked in the top ten in scoring and rebounding in the Ivy League, while also leading the Lions in the same categories.
Baumann averaged 13.7 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game, ranking fifth and sixth in the league respectively. He also ranked seventh in field goal percentage (.473) and sixth in free throw shooting (.790).
Baumann led the team in scoring 13 times this season and in rebounding 11 times, while scoring in double digits in 21 of 27 games. He was named Ivy League Player of the Week twice this season and has already scored more than 400 points in his 39-game career at Columbia.
Baumann's second team honor is the third in the past three years for the Lions. Matt Preston was a two-time honoree in 2003-04 and 2004-05.
