Aquatics: Lifeguard Training

LIFEGUARD TRAINING

Successful completion of this course will certify students for employment as lifeguards and pool supervisors according to the standards set by the American Red Cross. Normal prerequisite courses will be taught concurrently, making students eligible for additional certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Standard First Aid. Students must be able to swim 500 yards demonstrating various stroke proficiencies, tread water for one minute, and perform a front dive to be eligible for the course. The course fee is $ 100.00.
