Columbia returns to more seasonable weather after a week-long trip to Hawai'i with two games at the Bank of Hawai'i Invitational.
Playing on consecutive days, the Lions dropped both games in Hawai'i, losing to 12-1 Oklahoma State, 86-42, on Dec. 29 before seeing their second-half comeback fall short against San Francisco in a 63-51 defeat on Dec. 30.
Currently in the middle of a five-game road swing, tonight's game marks the final non-conference game before Columbia begins Ivy League play at Princeton on January 12. Columbia's final non-conference game will be on January 25 at Lafayette.
The Lions and Blue Devils met last season at Levien Gym on December 8, 2005 when Columbia captured a 54-51 victory behind 23 points from Megan Griffith.
Katrina Cragg scored 11 for Columbia on five-of-nine shooting and Brittney Carfora added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lions.
Central Connecticut State's Gabriella Guegbelet, who recently registered her 50th career double-double, also had a double-double in that game with 22 points and 18 rebounds.
Game notes for the Central Connecticut State game are now available.
