In game one, the Lions trailed 24-14 and Acting Head Coach Brie Katz called a timeout to rally the team and it seemed to work, as the Lions inched back in their biggest comeback of the season.
A kill by Natalie Gerling set off a 10-2 run that caused the Bears to call a timeout.
In that run, Gerling had two kills and Katie Mitchell, Amalia Viti and Cassie Ligh added kills of their own to continue the rally and climb within two, 26-24.
Two kills by Viti and an ace by setter Alex Marchyshyn in conjunction with a couple of Brown errors, knotted the game at 28-28. Two errors by the Bears closed out game one, with
Brown had 21 kills in game two, as they rallied from an early five-point deficit to win 30-20.
The Bears jumped out to a 17-10 lead in game three and
Brown never trailed in game four to take the match 30-19.
Gerling had 16 kills in the loss and added 10 digs, while Ligh finished with a game-high 20 digs. Viti added 10 kills and Mitchell had six with just one error.
The Lions (3-14, 0-6 Ivy League) return to action on Saturday, October 20, when they travel to Yale for a 4 p.m. game.
