
Volleyball Falls to Yale, 3-0

NEW HAVEN, CONN. ? Columbia was swept in three games in an Ivy League match at Yale. In game one, the Lions jumped out to an 8-5 lead, with kills by Lauren Russell and Amalia Viti. The Bulldogs rattled off two more points before the Lions got a side out, and Columbia could not rally from the early deficit, as Yale took game one 30-19.
Yale pushed out to a 9-6 lead in game three and then got solid serving from Kelly Ozurovich, including two aces, to take a six-point lead, 21-15. The Bulldogs kept at least a five-point lead for the remainder of the game.
Viti led the Lions with 12 kills, while Ligh had 16 digs. Shannon Hunzicker had 27 assists with five digs in the loss.
