Gerling, Thomas Post Career Numbers as Volleyball Falls at Dartmouth

Senior co-captain Natalie Gerling closed out her Columbia volleyball career with a dynamite, season-high 24-kill performance in a four-game loss to Dartmouth in Hanover. Gerling totaled a match-high 24 kills, more than any two Dartmouth players combined, with just four errors to hit .312 for the contest. She'll finish just shy of the Columbia's career record, with 1143 kills.

Ellie Thomas had 21 digs to break Columbia's single-season record with 400.

Despite the record-breaking performances, the Lions lost 3-1, 30-17, 27-30, 30-16, 30-28.

Amalia Viti had 18 kills and Shannon Hunzicker had 31 assists for the Lions in the loss.

The Lions finished the season 3-23, 0-14 Ivy League, while Dartmouth improved to 15-8, 8-6 Ivy League.
