“It was a good regatta,” head coach Melanie Onufrieff said. “It was a good way to finish up our spring trip and prepare for our northern season.”
The Lions captured both eight-oared events, losing only in the varsity fours. The varsity eights was dominated by Columbia, whose first boat won the race and second varsity boat was runner-up. The novice eight also won its race, by a sizable margin over FIT.
Columbia opens its northern season in one of its two cup races. The Lions face Yale and Penn in the Connell Cup Regatta in Philadelphia Saturday, March 24.
